ActLike AI is a mobile app for iPhone and Android made by LCD Media Games, an independent app developer. The app turns a short clip of one person and a single photo into a realistic HD character video, and is sold on the App Store and Google Play with one-time credit packs rather than a subscription.
About ActLike AI: the problem we started with
Replacing a person in a video used to demand three things at once: a powerful computer, expensive software and a lot of practice. As a result, a whole category of fun, creative video stayed out of reach for almost everyone.
Meanwhile, most of that video is now made and watched on a phone. So ActLike AI lives on the phone too: three steps, no timeline, and a finished video in a few minutes that is already where you want to share it.

Pay for output, not access
Credit packs are one-time purchases. A quiet month should cost nothing, and a failed video should cost nothing either.

How the technology fits together

On your phone
You choose the clip and the character, and the app checks your photo before anything is generated. Your finished videos stay in History and save to Photos.
In the cloud
Generation runs on cloud AI services rather than on the phone, so an older phone produces the same quality as a new one. According to the app privacy policy, uploaded source media is kept only temporarily and normally deleted automatically within about 3 days.
Through the app stores
Purchases go through Apple, which keeps payment details off our systems and handles purchase refunds. If a generation fails, the app returns the credits itself, automatically.
Where we draw the line
Face swap technology carries real risk, so our position has to be unambiguous.
You may use videos and photos you own or have permission to use. You may not use ActLike AI to deceive, impersonate, harass or defraud anyone, or to use another person's likeness without consent. The full rules are in the acceptable use policy and the terms.
